Great Guide to Using OneNote for Investigations

I've been a fan of OneNote since Microsoft released it in the early 2000s. I began using it in my law enforcement career to take and sync notes across devices, but I wasn't sure how to take it to the next level and make it my primary tool for investigations. Through this guide, as well as other workbooks available from the same author, I feel like I can finally get my cases under control. Being the sole investigator for a small department leaves me short handed for resources, but this book and the workbooks are affordable and worth the money.

How Effectively Managed Cases Get Solved!

This is an amazingly simple step by step "how to" book! Easily the best book for investigators across disciplines and responsibilities that I've read in awhile.
As a retired Army CID Special Agent, I wish this book had been around when I was active in the field. Aaron Edens has succinctly explained the application and simplified the process for managing an investigation.
Whether you investigate Insurance claims, Title IX allegations, Corporate malfeasance, Private inquiries, Journalistic interests, or you're in public law enforcement, we all struggle with the same issues of information management. The way in which Aaron lays out the use of Microsoft Onenote to tame the process for information collection and management just makes good sense.
Lastly, the versatility and flexibility of Onenote makes it the superior choice for any agency forced to do more with less. Best of all when you leverage the free mobile applications the way Aaron suggests, you actually improve your investigative efficiency and effectiveness exponentially. You no longer have to transcribe field notes into a readable report hours after getting to the office. You don't need to lug around your laptop, look for secure wifi connection, etc. now you can do it safely, securely, and simply from your smartphone or tablet!
You might be thinking, my tablet has wifi but I can't use it in the field. With Onenote you can update your data in the field and when you get to your department, station, or office select sync and update your case. No need to re-type info!
